The receptionists are extremely rude over the phone and not very helpful at all, you can tell they don't care about the fact they are in the health care business and patients have enough stress with being ill and them adding to it with their bad attitude towards us bothering them for an appointment doesn't help in any way
The doctors listen and involve you in their decision
making.
I find the doctors very good the phone is answered in a short period of time. Waiting times are excellent. I do think the receptionist could be more approachable, other than that the service is the best I've had in 45 years.
I think the way you deal with patients is not very good. Receptionist are not accommodating at all. I have elderly parents and I do not think they are treated with respect as regards to the receptionists. My mother was in the surgery on Wednesday 9th December and asked if there were any appointments available for Dr Lawrence was told to there were a few left. My mother asked is she could book one (the surgery was empty, so receptionist was not busy) and the receptionist said that she would have to ring back the following day, Thursday, at 8 o'clock. My mother did this and had to wait in a queue, when she finally got through, there were no appointments available. If she wanted to, she can get to the centre for 7 o'clock in the morning and would get an appointment then. She is 87 years of age and my father is 90 years old. I think this is appalling. I am also aware, that if you do see the doctor and he or she asks you to make another appointment, you get the same answer from the receptionist, ring tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock. I think it is about time patients were considered and that this practice should be changed. No wonder patients are abandoning the ship and going to other practices, they get treated better.
A little unsure as new to the area , but took a long time to get an appointment , the receptionist was very dismissive
